....and this is why I will never rule the world....
Happy Tuesday folks...one day closer to Friday! Today, I have no energy, probably because we skipped our workout yesterday due to my upset tummy. So this post will probably be short and full of pictures (I decided my blog needed more pictures.) YAY! The hubby and I tried a new class at the gym. LifeTime sent out an email saying there was a Kettlebell demo so we decided to sign up and try it. There were only 4 of us in the class. After warming up sans kettlebells, we picked them up and practiced 4 different lifts. While it was nice trying out a different workout and challenging my body, I didn't love it (or hate it). But considering the class is $40 per session, I think I'll pass. For those of you who have never heard of kettlebells, this is what we looked like:
(pictures are great! I don't think I could have effectively described this..)
But don't take my word for it - try it out yourself if you can. It may be up your alley :-)
Back to energy. Look what I got in the mail yesterday!!
(oh, I am so artistic!)
I love FRS. I drink the low cal Peach Mango version (I have tried the Peach Nectarine - that wasn't very good in my opinion). The Peach Mango is yummy and doesn't upset my stomach like other energy drinks do. I also don't get the jittery feeling an hour after drinking them, the way I do with soda and coffee. I haven't tried either of these flavors or the chews so I signed up for the "free" try it package on frs.com. I say "free" because I still paid $3.95 for shipping. But a 4 pack of cans cost $7 at Wegman's so it's not a terrible deal. Now if only I had the foresight to actually bring some with me. I probably wouldn't be having this energy crisis right now...
I also made these over the weekend:
They are filled with good things and are taste damn good. Again, I should have brought some of these with me today. Ugh, this is what happens when I fail to plan. Click on the link for the recipe. Most people should have the basic stuff on hand and they were really easy to make. You can also tailor the recipe based on what's in your pantry or food allergies. I highly recommend trying out these energy bites and FRS if you haven't already.
OK, I am done rambling about how I wish I had brought my arsenal of energy boosters. Now it's time to find a way to boost my energy without them...Too bad napping at work is frowned upon....
